The harmful effect of society on people

Where have we come to? We have become sheep in a large herd, walking together pushing each other straight up the cliff. By simple inertia, by simple impulse, without the possibility of reversing or handling other possible options. Following a predestined path without knowing why, but doing it for the mere fact that others do too.

This is the summary of the life of the human being in today's society. A society that pulls him through a kind of physical and mental inertia that leads him to do “supposedly” logical things.

I remember when I told my family that I would quit my job to do what I really wanted to do. Almost gave them a heart attack.

They called me from "crazy" to worse, for the simple fact of wanting to seek my own goals and try to achieve them in my own way..

In fact, today that is very common. He who decides to undertake on his own, seems to be taking a risk because he enters a world unknown to others. And all this because society itself does not allow to glimpse other alternatives to life.

Education

Today's education is the first to limp, when it takes advantage of clean and simple minds such as those of children to teach them things that are supposed to lead them towards a life of success and happiness..

But that is not the truth. Today's reality puts as a prototype of a man who has succeeded in his life, the one who has his permanent job, his house, his family, etc ...

If we ask this "prototype" of perfection if what he does in his life is what he really wants, a huge percentage will tell you no, but that he cannot and should not complain because he is in a better position than most.

In other words, a kind of slave who sells his time to the society in which he lives, in exchange for money, isn't he??.

I have come across many people who confess that they are not happy, despite having all kinds of luxuries in their life. But of course, if we go back you discover that at school they did not teach you this kind of thing, right?.

Today's education is based on enlarge the mind with disproportionate information, and then leave her disabled in other situations that require other abilities.

The man has discovered that everything he learned does not really solve various problems that he now has and that society has put him in his way.

The fear of being different

People do not want to attract attention or be different from others out of fear..

Fear is what limits your ability to develop and advance. And this fear arises when you try to enter an area that you are not used to..

I remember when the teacher asked something and nobody raised their hand to answer. I thought I knew the answer, but I was afraid. Fear of what? To be wrong. And why does that fear come out if I thought I knew the answer? Because no one raised their hand, it was indicative that maybe I was wrong in what I thought. What the majority say goes to mass, right??.

“It cannot be that nobody knows the answer and I do. I better shut up, lest I be wrong ". These were my thoughts and they were based on what others were doing and not what I was capable of doing..

Although it seems strange, more than 70% of the current population, acts in the same way. Unconsciously, they are afraid of something that is out of the ordinary, and therefore prefer to put it aside without even trying to prove it for ourselves..

The society in which you live generates parameters that if you leave them, they will cause you fear. It is precisely for this reason that many people manage to change their lives and succeed in them because of major crises or problems.. When there comes a time when you fall so low that you can no longer fall any more, the fear disappears because you no longer have anything to fear, nothing to lose and if you take advantage of that moment to start your personal development again correctly, without doubt you can be closer to achieving the life you want.

A personal experience

I want to tell you about the experience I had with a person who came to me for help. He was a businessman, manager of a multinational.

Their day to day was identical. He would get up at six in the morning and drive for almost two hours until he got to the office. He used to finish at three o'clock and went to lunch with his companions or often alone. The afternoon was the same, constant calls to the mobile, hours and hours in front of the computer and endless headaches.

When he got home, it was eight in the afternoon. His wife and two children were waiting for him, but he was too tired to start playing with his children, who had already simply accepted him..

A shower, dinner and… .after a while, his body and mind were already so overwhelmed that he was not allowed to stay awake much longer. So he went to sleep, having only several conversations with his wife.

The next day again, and so on day after day. His mood changed as the months approaching summer approached, because he knew that he would finally be able to rest. But of course, he only had a month's vacation and it always fell short.

Sundays were the worst day for him, as he had such anguish over the proximity of Monday, that he hardly enjoyed the day he was supposed to have to rest.

A man with money, a house, a family, etc ... but without happiness. Do you like that kind of life? Well, it is the life that today's society is teaching you to take and is showing your children as the perfect life model.

I will have to risk a lot if I do what I want

Back to the same. You are not being fair to yourself, as you are valuing what little you have now with an assumption of what you could achieve tomorrow.

You can't be happy doing what you don't want to do. That's the only truth. You just have to decide what you want to do with your life and what you want to get out of it..

Slavery or freedom? The slave fears leaving his zone for fear of running out of what little his master gives him and decides to wait and stay, sacrificing his wishes and dreams.

Honestly for me, abandoning what the world forced me to do to survive, to fight for what I believed was correct and that suited my ideals and dreams, was the best decision of my entire life..

I was afraid of falling lower than I already was, but I always thought one thing: "If I fall doing what I like, at least it won't hurt so much".

Ask yourself a series of questions: Are you a slave to society? Do you really do what you want and walk in pursuit of fulfilling your dreams? Has your environment influenced your decisions and principles? Have you done things in your life because your current situation has forced you to do them?

Are you putting years to life or life to years? Don't live to live, out of sheer inertia. Eliminate unconscious habits that make you do things without knowing why you do them. Analyze and appreciate each step and each thought that you take, and question each and every one of the sensations and emotions that you have in your day to day life. You like them? Are they as you wish?

And so what are you waiting for to change?
