Argument

The premise of the story starts from the near extinction of humanity thanks to a series of sinister creatures of great size called titans, which have a similar appearance to those of humans (but do not have sexual organs) and that seem to emerge from the nothing for the sole purpose of devouring people.

For its protection and preservation, a series of walls of about 50 meters were built to protect the few survivors. These walls are: María (it is the largest and contains a large part of humanity), Rose and Sina.

For a century life remained calm and peaceful, until the surprising appearance of the Colossal Titan, a creature of more than 60 meters in height that destroyed a part of the wall in the Shiganshina district (place where Eren lived with his friends), originating the entrance of other titans into the wall Maria.

Next to him was also the Armored Titan, whose body structure and strength allowed another section of the wall to rupture. This caused the evacuation of those who were between the walls María and Rose.

The Titans wreaked havoc and destruction in their wake. Thousands of people died, even Eren's mother was eaten by a titan. From that moment on, Eren swore that he would take revenge on the Titans..

Important facts

It is worth highlighting a series of information that is vital to understand the story:

-Titans are 3 to 15 meters tall. However, this was denied thanks to the appearance of the Colossal Titan, which reaches 60 meters.

-There are differences between manga and anime. In the manga it is explained that Ymir Fritz discovered a vital power by which he originated the Titans. Therefore his family became the royal blood and the important group for mankind. Instead, the anime first shows the destruction capacity of the Titans and the chaos produced in their wake..

-Titans have similar characteristics to humans, since they are bipedal beings, with the same number of members and with similar bodily functions. However, a notable difference is the lack of sexual organs, so it is unknown if they are capable of reproducing in any other way.

-These creatures don't really need food, but they still devour humans almost compulsively. In addition, they can remain inactive if they do not receive sunlight..
